The artist has affixed the valuation directly to the surface of the painting, collapsing the distance between the work and the market it enters.
Layered gestures in magenta, cerulean and burnt sienna give way to passages of open white ground. A frieze of alternating red and blue strokes crowns the composition. Handprints, crosses and a lone spiral punctuate the field. It was made in a single, committed session, and the artist declined to revise it.

Born in 2020, the artist works from a home studio and paints with both hands, occasionally at the same time. His practice is defined by speed, colour and an absolute refusal to stay inside the lines. Untitled No. 1 is his first work to be offered publicly. It will not be his last.
